Do you need an SR22; but Not sure where to Start?

An SR22 is a document to prove to the DMV and to the State of California, that the motorists are financially responsible for their driving.

Who needs SR22

1.     DUI, or any serious moving violation.
2.     getting into At-fault accident without Insurance
3.     Too many tickets in a short period of time
4.     Suspended Drivers License.
   
   

In the State of California; the minimum amount of coverage for one accident should be $15,000 for one person injured or killed; $30,000 for all the bodily injuries caused; and $5,000 for property Damage. Thus; the SR22 should at least hold these state Required Minimums.

You must carry continuous insurance "SR22" for three years. if your insurance cancels during this period; The DMV will automatically suspend your driver's licensee and a new SR22 will be required for another three Years.

There are three different types of SR22:

1. A Non-owner Motorist; who dose not own a vehicle.
2. An Owner's SR22; which covers the financial responsibility for the vehicle owned.
3. A certificate of SR22 which covers responsibility form Owned or not owned vehicle.
